Speakers

Jason is the High Performance Manager of Kerry GAA. Jason has over 15 years’ experience working as an S&C Coach/Sports Scientist with elite international professional and amateur athletes within several high-performance teams.
He holds an MSc in Sports Performance, a UKSCA Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, and ASCA Coach. He recently completed a Ph.D. in Applied Sport Science, with special reference to training load, its impact on training practice and performance.
Jason has been published in several peer-reviewed strength and conditioning journals and has presented at national and international conferences.

Fionn O’Shea is an L2 ASCA-certified S&C coach and sports scientist, bringing over 13 years of experience working with both elite and non-elite athletes across Ireland, the UK, and Australia. His diverse sporting background spans GAA, rugby, AFL, basketball, athletics, gymnastics and swimming, providing him with a broad understanding of varied performance demands and training methodologies.
He holds a BSc in Physical Education with Science and a PGDip in Leadership and Management, complemented by an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, where his research focused on optimising athlete resilience, load management, and performance enhancement. Currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Lancashire, Fionn is investigating field-based running protocols specifically for Gaelic football, furthering his commitment to evidence-based practice.
