Manage your athletes remotely and monitor key performance data at a glance
As the S&C for Basketball Ireland U18 Men, I knew from the start that remote programming would have to be done as a lot of the team live abroad or on opposite ends of the country so we weren’t going to be able to monitor them face to face. A remote method of programming that would also allow athletes to check-in (wellness, soreness, sleep, etc.) was needed.
RYPT solved all the problems we had. Through the platform, I was able to create and schedule programs for each individual athlete, tailored to the athlete themselves. It was equally straightforward to create & send out information to the mass group for our general programming sessions such as mobility sessions. Athletes can complete the wellness questionnaire on the app each morning and could leave comments on individual exercises/sessions for me to see and follow up on.
What we love
Coming into a new team means gathering a huge amount of information on those athletes – anthropometric data, performance data, injury history, and so on. To be able to input, house, and track all that information on one platform and have it all displayed on one screen just makes life so much easier. At a glance, I can see how well the player slept, how their gym session went, and how their load compares week on week.
About the coach
Caoimhe Morris is a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Sports Scientist. Caoimhe holds a BA in Sports Coaching from TUD Blanchardstown, as well as an MSc in Sports Performance from the University of Limerick, and a Diploma in Sports Therapy from the National School of Remedial Therapy. Caoimhe is a Co-Founder of the Irish S&C Network and works as an S&C Coach with Basketball Ireland Men’s U18s team. Caoimhe also works with multiple other teams across a variety of sports, including Olympic Weightlifting with TUD Blanchardstown, Rugby with Mount Temple Comprehensive & Clontarf FC, and Basketball with Killester WSL.
