Making individualization easier and increasing buy-in by giving players more autonomy

The problem
We wanted to implement a more efficient S&C system for the team. I felt we needed to improve structures that were in place, improve how lifts were being tracked, map out clear progression and generally just improve the overall experience for the player and make it as straightforward for them as possible to make progress in the gym. It was important for me to be able to lay out what they needed to do, how they do it, what weight to use etc. to make everything as simple as possible without wasting hours and hours.
The solution
RYPT helped me to systemize my programming which saved me so much time. It allowed me to create a general template for the team and then adjust it to suit the individual as needed, making individualization easier. Once the players logged their sessions I had all the information I needed but the players were also able to look back at their information from previous sessions so it began to create some autonomy there.
What we love
The fact it was so simple to create programs and then make adjustments for the individual was a huge plus for me. It saved so much time but I felt it also helped with increasing buy-in as players could see it wasn’t just a generic set of exercises. Being able to create exercises, add videos, notes and being able to look back at the exercise history for the player was huge as well it helped create autonomy within the group which would save me time in the long run – there are always going to be questions, but this helped reduce them.
